Midday after-school programs run from 12:15–1:00 p.m.

Program Descriptions

Mondays

Spark Studio With Mr. Zach | Mondays 12:15-1 pm | Preschool 3s-4s | $550

This program invites children to dive into hands-on activities that spark their creativity and curiosity. In this dynamic class, little engineers and artists will experiment with building, tinkering, and designing three-dimensional creations. Guided by Mr. Zach, they’ll work with a variety of materials like clay, wood, soap, paper, foam, and recycled items to shape, collage, and glue their imaginative projects. It’s a fun-filled, creative adventure where young minds can explore the world of science through art!

Jump, tumble, flip, and leap with Curated Care! This course introduces your child to gymnastics, focusing on basic mat exercises (forward rolls, backward rolls), donkey kicks, and cartwheels, while improving your child’s strength, balance, flexibility, and coordination in a super fun, non-competitive environment.

Story Time Chess | 12:15-1 pm | Preschool 3s-4s | $770

Story Time Chess is a fun, silly, and strategic chess program designed especially for young learners. With over 15 years of experience teaching in New York City, we engage children ages 3 to 6 through imaginative storytelling, where chess pieces come to life as unforgettable characters on exciting adventures. Students build real strategic thinking skills while developing confidence and learning how to navigate winning, losing, and problem-solving. Story Time Chess proudly serves as a foundational “feeder” program to the US Chess Academy (also a Dwight School partner), helping students build the skills to continue into more advanced play or simply enjoy the game while gaining the lifelong benefits of chess. Brought to you by Curated Care, our little scientists will practice innovation, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with weekly STEM experiments to inspire them to take scientific principles with them into the real world.

Little Rookies | 12:15-1 pm | Preschool 3s-4s | $600

This youth baseball program led by YouthAthletesUnited teaches the fundamentals of baseball in station-based activities. These fun, action-packed sessions empower children to learn the basics of baseball skills, rules, and concepts.

Matilda: Song & Dance Show | 12:15-1 pm | Preschool 3s-4s | $600

Bring your magical powers as we embark on this exciting journey to overcome obstacles. Group numbers are emphasized. No experience is necessary, but all talents welcome! Taught by the pros of the DramaZone®, classes include a dance warm-up with age appropriate choreography, stretching, and strengthening exercises. Singing instruction teaches proper breath support and projection, and theater and dance games make this a well-rounded class. Join us as this class culminates in a revue for friends and family! Dress code: Comfortable clothing and sneakers (shorts and leggings are suggested)

This soccer program from Super Soccer Stars will focus on teaching your child to be comfortable with the ball by developing soccer skills such as dribbling and shooting, and an introduction to passing. Our soccer stars will participate in partner activities to promote sharing, listening, respect, and cooperation. Physical activities include dynamic exercises like moving with pace, changing directions, and lateral agility.

Thursdays

Tennis | 12:15-1 pm | Preschool 3s-4s | $600

This class from Super Stars Tennis is designed for our tiniest tennis players ages 3 years old through Pre-K, and is a wonderful first step to introducing your child to tennis, sports, and overall athleticism. These classes feature fun games that are perfectly suited to advance your child’s hand-eye coordination and balance, and develop a love for tennis.

Mini Maestros | 2:45-3:30 pm | 3s-Pre-K| $600

Get ready to turn up the volume on imagination! Curated Care is thrilled to present Mini Maestros, a high-energy, hands-on musical journey designed specifically for your little virtuosos. We aren’t just listening to music — we’re making it from scratch. This isn't your average sing-along; it’s a full-sensory exploration of sound where kids lead the way.

Thursdays 

Amazing Animal Adaptations | 2:45-3:30 pm | Pre-K Only | $600

Discover how animals are able to survive without the use of gadgets, clothes. or tools in this exciting program. Each week, we will have up-close encounters with a variety of LIVE animals and examine them from head to tail to figure out how each animal is built for survival. Uncover which animals have the most awesome sneaky strategies such as camouflage and learn which animals can grow some of their body parts back! We will also compare our senses to how animals explore their surroundings and find out which superhero characters are based on the real abilities of some of Earth's most unique creatures! Presented by The Art Farm NYC.

Frozen 2! The Musical | 2:45-3:30 pm | 3s-Pre-K| $550

Join Elsa, Olaf, Anna, Kristoff, and many new friends as we tell the next adventurous tale of the heroic Snow Queen! Taught by the pros of the DramaZone®, we journey through song, dance, and scene, learning a custom production with many special additional characters. Come dance at the palace, sing through the mystical river, and learn many scenes traveling from castle to cliffs to find out the mystery behind the magical powers. This show is great for boys and girls, and ends with a show at the end of the semester. Dress: Sneakers and comfortable clothing, scarf, and hat are suggested.
